Resume of Steven Skelley Thank you for taking the time to review my ministry, writing, music and tennis experience. Writing I've ministered to all of Florida's Brevard and Collier counties as the featured inspirational columnist for 8 newspapers. My Faith Focus column was published in the 6 city editions of the Hometown News newspaper. For more than two years my inspirational column, The Faith Forum, appeared in the Marco Island Sun Times newspaper. When the Naples Sun Times newspaper launched to a potential readership of almost 250,000 people, my Faith Forum column was moved to Naples and is still published there weekly. My Faith Forum and Faith Focus columns deal with inspirational messages using current events, pop-culture icons, movies, music, and personalities. Potential readership of my weekly sermons is nearly 500,000. In the 1990's, I was a reporter and contributing inspirational writer for "Community Good News," the Northeast Ohio inspirational magazine. My devotions can also currently be found in Faith & Tennis magazine and at www.MySMW.com ezine in the columns section. My inspirational columns have appeared in the Homosassa Beacon and Central Ridge Visitor newspapers. I am a freelance writer for the Methodist News Service. Tennis I am a Tennis Instructor who has attended clinics and hit tennis balls with Hall Of Famer Jim Courier, Australian Open winner Petr Korda, NCAA champ Mikael Pernfors, and John McEnroe's former coach Carlos Goffi. I have interviewed French Open champ Michael Chang and Jim Courier for the Naples Sun Times. I am
Ministry I have a unique combination of pastoral, communications and Christian education experience. I have served on staff at numerous churches as
I offered monthly church services at two juvenile jail facilities in Ohio for a number of years. I would be happy to and am qualified to fill any ministry position from teaching and preaching, to pastoral ministry, to youth and young adult ministry, to Christian education, to outreach. I have experience in both denominational and nondenominational churches. I have attended Purpose Driven Ministry seminars and organized the Purpose Driven Life program as well as a Celebrate Jesus outreach program for a West Melbourne church. I have organized communitiy outreaches that have reached thousands and organized concerts with national level artists. I have experience in preaching, teaching, performing weddings and funerals, organization and communication. My wife has served churches as Sunday School Director, Children's Minister, Nursery Ministries Director, Financial Administrator and more. We home educated our own daughter all the way through high school. She completed high school requirements at 16, earned a number of scholarships and grants, dually enrolled in a seminary college and Melbourne Beauty Academy. She graduated in 2004 at 20 years old with a college degree and a cosmetology certification and license. I have successfully completed courses in
I organized a
Music My Contemporary Christian Music project "I saw His Face" received national and international radio air play on many different radio formats. My songs "Run to You", "Peace" and "Psalm 147:11" all made the Top 20 Charts of the New Christian Music Network of the most requested NCMN songs worldwide. All three were in the Top 10 at the same time. My independent music video "Closer Every Day" repeatedly aired on TV in a number of states. My songs have appeared on multi-artist projects such as Refuge Ministry's "Songs of Refuge" and HarvestChristian Center's "I'm On My Way" for which he penned and sang the title song. I've ministered in outreach concerts for over 20 years including concerts I've been described as playing rockin' acoustic guitar with powerful and emotional lead vocals which have been compared to Phil Collins, Rich Mullins, and Garth Brooks. I created, hosted, and supervised "Music Nite," the monthly Christian Music Showcase Outreach in Canal Fulton, Ohio. I've ministered evangelical outreach concerts at city festivals such as
